Here's some Exam tips for you guys out there...
1) Have a study area. The ambience of your study area must suit your liking...You must like the area very much so that just going to that area brings you joy. Of course, if books spoils your mood, then this won't help.
2)Know the paper you're sitting. Ask your teachers (me included) as much as you can find out about the paper. This, of course, does not include questions. Ask especially about the format. How many essay questions, mcq's and all that. This will help you to be mentally prepared for the exams
3)Form study groups. This I'm sure most of you have already done it. Ensure that you attend your study group as much as possible, especially if you can see that you benefit from it.
4)Have some time to study alone. Yes, study groups are good. However, you all need time to study on your own. This will help you focus more on any subject you'd like. A study group normally focus on everyone. Here, you focus only on YOURSELF.
5)Switch off HP, Computers etc. You wouldn't need any distractions from all that. If there's anything so important, then they can contact your house phone which, hopefully your parents can answer. With this, you can focus focus focus...
6) Take regular breaks from long studying hours. Your concentration span can never be more than an hour. After that, you'd keep losing your focus...get up, move away from your study area for say, 10minutes? Call me if u want...but I wun answer...haha jkjk
7) Do not procrastinate. Sometimes, when you have something to do, you tend to do a whole lot of other thigns but not the one you need to do...what a waste of time...procrastination should be a crime...but then, if it is, even I would be in jail...haha! In other words...do what you need to do. Make a to-do-list if you must.
8)Practice past year papers. This is especially for the O'levels batch of students...past year papers really help...trust me...I know.
9) Revise not reread. Reading will not really make you understand your subject. You need to revise. That is, when you're studying, you can't just have one book in front of you...yoou need your textbook, workbook, assesments, dictionary and other what-have-you for the subject. Look out for the words that you may not understand. Jot it down somewhere...make summaries...do questions etc...whatever it is, just don't reread only...
10) Pray. Last but not least... pray to Allah that He makes your journey smoother...pray that He allows you to accept what you have studied...pray that He grants you good health...pray also, that He grants ME good health so that I can mark your papers with a good mood!!! Heh!!!

Oh wow!!! This is probably the longest time between 2 posts!!! Well, I'm sure it is....more than what??? Two months??? So, here's a little update.
Exam's round the corner...so here's me wishing all the best to ALL my students...May Allah reward you with good grades...don't forget to study study study!!! -end-
A little on what's happening in my life....
Been really busy preparing notes for almost all my subjects...I got a little carried away at some parts...but managed to pull through most of it...-end-
Other than that, I've also been busy with non-education stuff in school...we'll be super duper busy in June....with all the inter-madrasah games, IPT and camps...Insya Allah, I'd be involved in all these...-end-
Abah is showing a lot of improvement in his health...Alhamdulillah...though he still experiences sleepless nights...at least, it's not as frequent as before...-end-
My cuzzin is tying the knot this weekend... Isn't it wonderful??? Haha!!! Well, congratz shida...May Allah bless ur marriage...-end-
