After yesterday's post, I was thinking...am I seeking knowledge for the sake of knowing or am I seeking the degree??? That scroll of paper that seems to be the most important part of life for most pple...hmm...*action! deep in thoughts konon*
Well, initially, I enrolled myself in SIM for the degree, to get into NIE and then get my dream job...However, as Juana said, I'm taking the super slow degree...yes, it is super slow...3 years down the road, I'm still nowhere near my degree...N I already got my dream job... so why am I still pushing myself for that degree???
Quit??? Save some money...but after all the 3 years??? I'm not a quiter...n I hope I never will be...fight till the end I shall...but I'm sooo tired...tired of learning nothing new...tired of having to rush to school and tired of the journey...seriously speaking...I'd rather spend more time concentrating on DPI and work...
I am a seeker of knowledge. I hope I will be for the rest of my life, forever, a seeker of knowledge.

I just had my first lecture for this year...MSZ2031...Fundamentals of Analysis...
Wonderful!!! The course code sounds cheem! Surely lots to learn...
So I checked my schedule...good, every Tuesday nights...lecturer, Mr Quek nice one...tutor...OMG!!! AP Ng???!!He used to be my tutor back in NUS n as far as I remember, or as far as my frens remember, he can't teach...bleagh...I'll hafta study on my own again...
Ok, back to lecture...I was late...work ended at 6.30...lecture started at 7.30...I went in at almost 8! Star karat betul!! Found a seat and sat...the lecturer kept teaching, "you find blah blah blah, if f prime is positive, graph is increasing, if f prime blah blah blah" WHAT???!!! I leaned over to the lady in blue, peaked at her book...WOW!!! I'm learning how to sketch a quadratic graph!!! FANNNNTASTIC!!
He then went about showing how to determine whether the part of the graph is positive or negative...FINE!!! Then we had a break...I looked for my fren...n went to sit with her after the break...n then....
We went to unit 2...HUH??? Was that all for Unit 1? Sketching of graphs, determining min n max points and their asymptotes? I've learnt that b4. No wonder AP Ng is my tutor...
K, unit 2...Mathematical Language...Mr Quek went on abt set notation...TADA!!! I'm gonna teach my sec 2's that in the later part of the year... n obviously, I already know that!!! We learnt that ever since sec 2!! But he spent like an hour on set notation, vein diagrams and more set notation...then, with 15 mins left, we went on to complex numbers...exactly what we learnt last sem, in JC and back at NUS...
So, what have I learnt today??? Yes, I did learn something OK... I learnt that, I still remember my stuff from school...

Singapore have booked a place in next week's Asean Football Championship final after beating Malaysia 5-4 on penalty kicks at the National Stadium on Saturday.
The second leg of the semi-final had ended 1-1 after extra time.
Substitute Mohd Khyril Muhymeen's poor spot kick was easily saved by Lionel Lewis and the defending champions now host either Thailand or Vietnam in the first leg of the final on January 31.
Earlier, Indra Sahdan, Noh Alam Shah, Mustafic Fahrudin, Fazrul Nawaz and Shi Jia Yi all scored from the spot for Singapore.
Eddy Helmi Abd Manan had given the vistors the lead in the 57th minute but even the Johor FC midfielder himself would have had to 'thank' Lionel Lewis for what was surely go down as a soft goal as far as Singapore were concerned.
Singapore wasted two excellent opportunities in the space of two minutes as Ridhuan and then Indra failed to hit the target despite only having Syamsuri to beat on both occasions.
Then came the shock goal by Eddy Helmi to give the Malaysians the advantage. There seemed to be little danger as the midfielder received a long pass from defender Nurhafiz Zamani Misbah.
Bennett whipped in another trademark cross from the left as the hosts launched another attack with a quarter of an hour left. Alam Shah did well to climb above his marker and get his head on the ball. But before Syamsuri could smother the ball, Ridhuan came from literally nowhere to bundle the ball in from two metres out.

It's been a few years where the day b4 my bdae is my unlucky day...
Last year, I fell down the stairs...Luckily I onli suffered a sprained ankle
The year b4, someone bumped into me a splashed coke all over me...luckily was wearing black...but it was all sticky...
Some years ago, while in the first year on JC, I broke a set of 6 test tubes and a beaker when my 'grandpa' lab-partner knocked into me...n my mean lab-tech scolded me till I cry (yes I'm a cry baby) Luckily, 'grandpa' was nice enuff to tell that meanie that it was partly his fault... n luckily also, I had a great class who shared the cost of wreckage with us...

Ok...this is my third post for the day...SO WHAT??!
N ok...I'm talking soccer now...
So...today, I watched it alone at first, n then joined by my mom during the last minutes...I had to watch coz my sis n dad were working...so my comments would be needed later on...
hmm...so what can I say???
Nice n exciting game, though we're yet to understand why Aide was sent off... a bit harsh wasn't it, if the reason was becoz he went on the field b4 the referee allowed him to? N then, how Singapore was so kelam kabut after being left with 10 men, n captain-less...but they hang on well enough...
The goals...no doubt that the Malaysian goal was a more superb one...but the Singapore goal was definitely the much awaited one...
What else can I say...Singapore better play well this Sat...Malaysia's gonna play hard for the win...esp since the ealier announcement of their reward if they get the cup...well, who wanna lose anyway???

Jika ku tak bangun esok pagi,
Sayangku kau jagalah diri,
Sentiasa ingatkan hati,
Dirimu amat ku cintai.
Andainya dihimpit kesusahan,
Sujud dan mohon pada tuhan,
Agar diberikan bimbingan,
Meniti hidup bersendirian.
Bila terasa sejuk,
Pejamkan mata,
Bayangkan dalam dakapanku,
Bila terasa rindu,
Pejamkan mata,
Kita bersua dalam lena.
Kalau ada yang sudi mengganti,
Sayang lepaskanlah ku pergi,
Kerana insan yang seistimewamu,
Berhak untuk dicinta dalam hidup.
Sayang tiada apa yang kekal di dalam dunia ini,
Namun yang pasti,
Walaupun ku tiada nanti,
Cintaku akan kekal abadi.
Ku berharap kau tak akan lupa,
Mengirimkan bekalan doa,
Kita jumpa lagi di sana nanti,
Jika ku tak bangun esok pagi.
Sung by Yusry KRU, OST Cicak-Man
Jika ku Tak Bangun Esok Pagi
Comment: Recently I heard quite many songs talking about "what if they're dead the next day?"
hmm...my first thinking: tahupun ingat mati...heh
I had always loved songs by KRU or any of those pple under them...really..right from I was like 12? 10?
Ok this song eh...very nice...not catchy...but meaningful...but if u look at it...for those who dun understand Malay...once again...sori..can't help it...if u look at the second verse...it says, something to this effect..."if u are in trouble, pray to Him, hopefully He will guide u to live alone."
hmm...so, do we onli think of Him when we're in trouble...n we forget Him when we're ok? ish...
how many of us are like this? many many...
ps:I'm supposed to be asleep...but was ironing my clothes n heard this song over the radio...decide to find out abt it...so..now i wanna go sleep...chao...

Yes...forced...that's the word...
I used to believe that a person will do a job well onli if he is willing not forced... but as they say...practice makes perfect...
I get funny things...like mispronunciation of re-enforcement with an 's' sound in each syllable...or superbly broken English like "yang that day..." (direct translation of "yang hari tu" forgeting to erase off the 'yang' )
But day after day...for those who really tried...in just one week, I can already see the difference...really...so imagine a month later...or a term...then a semester...wow! I should really see a decline in failures for English huh? so kids...dun whine...just speak it!

I had some holidays this time...well can't be helped...after a year's hard work, I think I deserved this...
Trip to KL and Port Dickson
This trip was with my friends...Kak Rusydah and Kak Zainab, along with her children, Hanif and Zuhrah...
Seriously a last minute decision...we decided on Tuesday and went on Wednesday...that was how last minute the trip was...
I was supposed to meet the rest at Larkin bus terminal...however...some technical mishaps had brought us together at the Malaysian Customs...after we're cleared..I took the bus to Larkin while the others continued their trip on the SG-JB Express...
Ok...We bought some food and then...off we go to Seremban...reached abt noon...had our lunch at the Mall there...I remembered that place..ever went there with my family...then took a bus to our hotel...there..all we did was eat, watch tv and sleep...
Next day...went to KL...shop shop shop...heh...at Petaling Street...we got seperated...I was with the kids...Kak Zainab somewhere behind..Kak Rusydah somewhere in front...the kids got a lil panicky...haha...it was funny...they were shouting like crazy...I on the other hand, tried to keep them calm...but didn't think of calling them yet...I thought it won't be necessary...we're old enuff to know where to meet...we waited for some time until kak Zainab appeared...then walked until we met Kak Rusydah...
After shopping...bought some food...went back...watched tv...until the tv watched me...
The next day...had my breakfast on the streets...quite cool...neva experienced that b4...thanx to Kak Rusydah...then we washed up...and get set to check out...we placed our bags at Pudu bus terminal...another thing that I learnt..n then went shopping at Masjid India...bought some things for my darlings back in Sg...went back to Pudu...had our early-dinner-late-lunch and boarded the bus home...
Reached Singapore in the wee hours of the morning...really should haf alighted at Jurong...it was hard to get a cab in Lavender...those cabbies...I'm sure they were all waiting for the midnight charges to start...my trip home costed me 24 bucks!!! At home, my sisters n niece was already waiting...in the end...we all slept at like 3am...
Trip to Surabaya
I will talk abt this trip on a later post...I promise

Greatest apologies...I can't seem to put photos...too bad...maybe next time...
N btw...I took like a whole month to get the camp thingi up...so the last days are not coloured...anyway...I think you'd all get a better view of the camp if you hear from the campers themselves...
SWEET LOVE 10:14 PM ;
Ok...finally I'm on the last day...
It started with the subuh prayers...n some things which I didn't exactly take part in...was busy marking some test papers...by the time I joined them...it was the lecture by T.Safiaton...boy was she good...After that, I passed the chocolates Kak Rusydah bought for her group to her groupmembers...then give my group theirs...during usrah, we did a lil memorisation of Surah Al-Mulk and some chit-chatting b4 they proceed to prepare for their presentation...
Don't remember what happened next...during the presentation...I was really amazed by the campers...creative, talented and smart...(another Hijrah Kindergarten thingi?)
A little debrief session..I had little to comment...some sad parting..some cheers and singing of the council song...and then prize presentation...my group won... way to go Aurora!!! To some, it was obvious...but to my group, n to me...it wasn't...maybe only the Amazing Race part where we knew we were first to arrive...but what ever it is...we won!!! Ok...I should put it this way..THEY've won... Hanif, Sakinah, Khairul, Shahirah, Izzul and Diyanah...they've rocked the camp...congratz kids...hope this camp had brought many memories and taught you guys a lot...I'm sure you've discovered things that you never knew you could do...
