June holidays were good this year...amongst all the traveling to Malaysia that I've ever done, this may not be the best, but it was nevertheless fun. I went with my cousin, her children n my family... right from the start to the end of the journey, even two three days later...it was filled with fun, fun and more fun...(well...except for the bus ride up the hills that is)
We went to Cameron Higlands and KL. At abt 6pm on the departure day, me, my 9yr old niece(Akem) and 13yr old nephew(Mamat) depart from home and made our way by MRT to Golden Mile. We had to settle some stuff at the admin office as they haf forgotten to include the extra day for the 9yr old. Plus, my parents, younger sister(Dudu) and cousin, along with her 1yr old son(Ahmad) would take the cab, leaving us no space...my second sister(Didi) and 14yr old niece(Zara) came abt an hour later as my sis gotta teach. So, we were in 3 grps reaching at different times via different route...luckily my sisters and I split...we were the only ones with mobiles...after some "Where are you?" "Have you reached?" "Are the kids with you?" and "Eh, which Golden Mile did you say again?" we managed to meet, have our dinner and finally depart in the SUper VIP coach. Everyone caught a wink or two with Ahmad sleeping the whole way of course, until abt fajar when the bus starts the route up Cameron Highlands.
The view was breathtaking...we can never get those kinda things in Singapore...but the journey was, by far, our most terrible one! All the turns and swerves really mae our heads go bonkers, our stomachs churn and our mouths bluek! My cousin, Zara, Mum, Ahmad vomited. I forced my eyes close the whole time, offering Zara my tissue, plastic bag and wet tissue by just feeling about in my bag and passing to her, not even looking at it. We were all so so relieved when we reached the hotel.
But that was not b4 meeting with a representative of the travel agency! Well, she kinda conned us to buying another tour package for a guided tour of Cameron. She said, no taxi will bring us to the strawberry park and even if there is, we hafta take two cabs as there are 10 of us. When we reach the hotel, guess what? Strawberry Park was right beside it!!!! I mean, what the TOOOOT!!!
That part aside, we really had our fun and more headaches and stomach churnings visiting the tea plantations, forests, highest points and a crappy waterfall. I shall leave pictures intead...not talk too much abt it...
